Where To Host Your Auction
In some cases, as in estate auctions, or in the downsizing of larger amounts of personal or business items, hosting the online auction in your home or place of business is best.
In many cases, displaying them at our auction facility is better suited. We will assess and determine what suits each of our Clients needs the best. If you only have a few items, we will include them in one of our multi-consignor auctions for maximum exposure.
Photos and Description of Your Items
We look after all of the marketing photography and prepare a detailed description of each item. Since the merchandising of the items will be mainly online, we take as many quality photos as possible to ensure that the buyers will know what they are bidding on, even though the bidders will still have an opportunity to physically preview the items before the auction.
Our team works diligently for you to prepare the proper advertising, flyers and promotional materials to give your auction items maximum exposure.
We will advise the buyers of preview dates to allow prospective bidders the chance to inspect the items that they may wish to bid on prior to the auction.
Buyers bid from the comfort of their home or from virtually anywhere, using their mobile phones, laptops, personal computers, or tablets. With our auction software, their bidding is both secure and very easy to use. The morning following the auction, the winning bidders are sent a detailed invoice showing their items won, and we accept a vast selection of payment options to make paying for their items as easy as possible.
Following The Auction
Pickups are completed in the day or days after the auction at the venue. Buyers will pay their invoice and pick up the items they have successfully bid on at the auction venue. No Items will leave the premises until they are paid for in full. All items sell as is with all faults and no returns. Any items that buyers have requested to be shipped will be done by our team at Highland Auctions in a timely manner.
Payment To You
After the auction is over, it is time for you, our consignment client, to get paid. You will be issued your payment promptly and within the terms agreed to prior to the auction. If the auction was conducted at your home or business, we will ensure that everything is cleaned up and left in a manner agreeable to both of us.
